Datapass is an advanced technology which allows TrackTec’s DPL AVL device to receive
CANbus data from the vehicle.
CANbus is a standardized protocol used by all vehicles to access mechanical data
from the vehicle’s operating system.

These datasets are passed thru the Datapass to the DPL. From there the DPL transmits
it to our servers where the data is stored for reporting. Similarly, alerts can
be set up for low fuel levels, high engine temperatures, etc.
